SERVING MARYLAND AND WASHINGTON DC

In this segment, we explore another case of medical malpractice where a patient loses her life after being overprescribed pain and anxiety medication before having an MRI. In this case, a woman is admitted to the hospital because of back pain. Despite warning doctors that she had a high sensitivity to pain medications, she is prescribed heavy doses of pain and anxiety medications before the MRI. During the MRI she temporarily stops breathing and loses her pulse. She’s resuscitated only to die a few days later, clearly as the result of negligence on behalf of the health care professionals.
