Mr. Schochor is one of 51 honorees selected by the editors of The Daily Record for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in Maryland in the following areas: civic leadership, communications, education, finance, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology.

As a founding partner of Schochor, Federico and Staton, Mr. Schochor has been a leader in the field of medical malpractice law for more than 30 years. Most recently, Mr. Schochor has also established the firm as proven leader in class action cases, and chaired the steering committee resulting in a $190 million class action settlement (preliminarily court approved and subject to final court approval) on behalf of 8,000 patients of former Johns Hopkins gynecologist Dr. Nikita Levy, who allegedly photographed and video recorded women during examinations.

In November 2012, the firm represented victims of Dr. Earl Bradley, a Delaware pediatrician accused of molesting over 900 children in his care. The result was a $123 million settlement that was spearheaded by Schochor, Federico and Staton.
