Managing Partner Jonathan Schochor recently traveled to Sonoma County to attend the27th Annual B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival, a four-day concert event series in Glen Ellen, California benefiting various local and national charities.

Over the years, B.R. Cohn Charity Events has raised over $6 million for charity. Proceeds from the 2013 festival, which featured a record-setting auction, were spread among several charities, including the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, The Field of Dreams, Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Guardsmen, The Station Foundation and American Legion Post 489.

For many of these organizations, contributions from the Festival make a substantial impact on their fundraising efforts. This year, Redwood Empire Food Bank received $35,000, which will be a huge help toward their mission of serving 78,000 low-income community members each month.

Other highlights from this year’s festival weekend included live performances from Bad Company, the Doobie Brothers, Pablo Cruise, Heart and the Gin Blossoms.
