Schochor, Federico and Staton is pleased to announce Chris Merrill was recently admitted to the Maryland Bar and is now the firm’s newest attorney.
Mr. Merrill graduated from McDaniel College in 2011 with a double major in Business Administration and Accounting Economics. He then went to the University of Baltimore School of Law where he earned his J.D. in 2014, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Merrill was a staff editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review and a member of the Cardozo BMI moot court team.
Mr. Merrill began his connection with Schochor, Federico and Staton in his first year of law school, starting at the firm as a law clerk in November 2011. Immediately, he began making real contributions to our litigation support team.
In addition to his role with the firm’s medical malpractice cases, Mr. Merrill also played a key support role in both the Doe v. Bradley and Doe v. Johns Hopkins class action litigation, in which Schochor, Federico and Staton acted as the lead attorneys for the victims. As part of the teams working on these cases, he experienced first-hand the hard work and dedication necessary to pursue a major class action.
Everyone at the firm congratulates Mr. Merrill on his admission to the bar and promotion to an associate here Schochor, Federico and Staton. Based on our experience working with him to date, we expect he’s just at the beginning of a promising legal career.
