Back in the Swim of Things

When the parents of young Cameron Poole came to us nine years ago with their story of how a doctor’s negligence meant a lifetime of lower extremity paralysis for him, we knew we had to act.

With the help of the settlement that we secured for Cameron, his parents have been able to provide him as normal a childhood as possible. Cameron has thrived and is now a competitive swimmer. In fact, he’s competing now in the Paralympics in London. He qualified by winning the National Junior Disability Championships in the 25 meter and 50 meter freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke!

Cameron’s story is a testament to the power of overcoming obstacles. It also shows how, with the right resources, families can rebuild their lives after even the most tragic of medical mistakes. Without the settlement provided to Cameron and his family, we would probably all be reading a different story.
