We Care About Our Community

At Schochor, Staton, Goldberg and Cardea, P.A., we believe we have an important role to play in strengthening our community. Our strong culture of service, philanthropy and genuine desire to make meaningful social impact is borne out by our commitment to volunteering, thought leadership, and the financial support of charities.

Whether it’s rehabbing abandoned houses in Baltimore with Habitat for Humanity, giving lectures at Johns Hopkins University to medical students on the best ways of preventing medical malpractice, mentoring college students as part of the University of Baltimore School of Law’s Charles Hamilton Houston Scholars Program, or exposing high school students to the law through the Law Links Program, our attorneys and staff regularly lend their time and knowledge to helping others.

    The Kristin Rita Strouse Foundation supports local and national programs that increase mental health awareness, strengthen suicide prevention efforts, and offer support and healing through the arts for those affected by suicide and mental illness.

    The Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service (MVLS), which provides free (or in some cases low-cost) legal representation to Marylanders with limited income. MVLS also provides free legal help for community-based nonprofits that are working to strengthen low-income communities in Maryland.
